Absinthe is currently illegal in most countries, at least as far as making it and selling it is concerned. I've not been able to find out much abotu the law regearding possession and consumption. It is still made on a small homebrew scale in many places and can be bought commercialy in the Czech republic and Spain. There are also legal wormwood based drinks still available widely such as: vermouth, chartreuse and benedictine.
