Fire cat, purred across the room
glimmering, red sparks gleaming.
Stalking in the gaps of conversation
through the space between each thought.
Bright eyes and mind, cat moves
slinking, weaving to produce a snare.
Searching for a prey unwary
burning with a savage fire.
Soft shadows rustle cats plaything
captured, wings spread wide by feline
paw.
Held impaled, sharp claws caressing
engraving kisses in playthings
skin.
Fiercer now Fire cat holds them,
as on the kisses Fire cat feeds.
Offered up to feline hunger,
in the night air Plaything bleeds.
