evoked one cold night.

The moral majority
might list: pain, blood and leather

forgetting their place
in the weekly stadia
exalted by crowds

Recalling this however
some other list might we make?

say, institutions
preaching messages of love
in hate filled voices

Government run charity
patching up state sponsored pain.

Isolations pain
soothed by high technology
keeping all apart

False intimacies spectre
created by cold cathode rays

Cuckoos egg caring
for a TV neighborhood
free from local grime

Simpler to ignore these things
blaming pleasure love and pain.
