How to insert a floppy disk

MG gave this helpful advice to those known as bob:

Just in case you ever get a call like this, and have to take it, here's what you do:

  1. find out which way is up on the disk drive ( usually the eject button is underneath the drive
  2. find out which way is up on the disk (the metal circle should be considered the bottom).
  3. locate the two squares on the disk.
  4. the little metal flap is on the other side.
  5. insert the disk with the metal circle on the side that the eject button is on. It should go in metal flap first.
  6. the last thing the person will see is the two squares.
  7. reassure them: there are 8 [1] ways you can try this, and only one way works.

Actual call. Actual cust. This was "STORIES OF THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY PATROL."

[1] Note this isn't true of 5.25 inch disks and 3.5 inch drives, lusers can be far more inventive with that combination
