How to insert a floppy disk
MG gave this helpful advice to those known as bob:
Just in case you ever get a call like this, and have to take it, here's what you do:
- find out which way is up on the disk drive ( usually the eject button is
underneath the drive
- find out which way is up on the disk (the metal circle should be considered the
bottom).
- locate the two squares on the disk.
- the little metal flap is on the other side.
- insert the disk with the metal circle on the side that the eject button is on. It
should go in metal flap first.
- the last thing the person will see is the two squares.
- reassure them: there are 8

ways you can try this, and only one way works.
Actual call. Actual cust. This was "STORIES OF THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY PATROL."
[1] Note this isn't true of 5.25 inch disks and 3.5 inch drives,
lusers can be far more inventive with that combination
